Franquette Walnut Tree

Franquette Walnut Tree

This particular variety gives rise to tall and imposing trees, characterized by a rather limited side branch productivity. Its fruits boast an elongated form, with an average size falling within the range of 11 to 12 grams, and an internal kernel weight typically measuring around 5.3 grams. Impressively, the inner kernel constitutes 46% to 47% of the total fruit, displaying a pristine white hue.

However, it’s worth noting that this variety is not recommended for enclosed garden environments. Its late leafing tendencies make it notably resilient against late spring frosts. In cultivation, it often serves as a valuable pollinator for the Chandler variety, contributing to successful fruiting.

Furthermore, its adaptability extends to altitudes of up to 1,200 meters above sea level, making it a versatile choice for various planting locations and climates.
