Fernor Walnut Tree

Fernor Walnut Tree

Clusters of fruits are typically produced in quantities of 1 to 4. The trees it forms are upright in shape. They bear fruits with thin shells and an elongated shape. Each fruit weighs between 11 and 12 grams, with an internal kernel rate ranging from 42% to 47%. The fat content is approximately 69%, while the protein content is around 21%.

This variety tends to bloom later in the season. It can be easily separated from its shell, making it suitable for consumption as dried walnuts. Fernette is the recommended pollinator for this type. Remarkably, it can be cultivated at altitudes of up to 1,800 meters.
